CAADRIA 2011 Web Design

07/04 2011

CAADRIA (Computer Aided Architecture Design Research in Asia) had their 16th annual convention, and this year it was hosted by the University of Newcastle. As some of us are past students there, we managed to organise the job which was both interesting and well, quite appropriate as all of us have studied in the schools of Architecture and Built Environment from one university or another.

The brief was quite simple, they didn’t need anything over the top or fancy, but obviously it needed to be efficient and well layed out. We went with a very modern ‘hi-tech’ look, with some interesting little javascript menus, and even down to the colours the good ol’ electric blue.

The project was quite a lot of fun, and quite nice because it was very visually based without worrying too much about the nitty gritty coding and the vast amount of SEO work that usually goes into a website.
